How To Replace PlayStation 5 Faceplates Guide

Get ready to tackle the faceplates and covers on your PlayStation 5! Before diving in, make sure to power down your console completely and unplug all those pesky cables. Step 1
Find a nice, flat spot for your PlayStation to hang loose without any risk of toppling over. Let’s keep it steady and safe while we work our repair magic!
If your PlayStation 5 is lounging around in its horizontal position, you can skip ahead to Step 6.
– Got your PlayStation 5 standing tall? Flip it upside down so the stand is on top.
– Grab a coin or a flathead screwdriver and unscrew that 26.5 mm stand screw.
Step 2
– Alrighty, time to lift straight up and remove the stand like a boss!
Step 3
– Pop that little screw into the cozy cubby at the bottom of the stand. You’ve got this!
Step 4
– Grab a pair of tweezers or just use your trusty fingernail to pop off the cap from the cubby like a pro.
– Now, give that cap a little push with your finger to snug it right into the screw hole.
Step 5
– Give that stand a gentle twist to the left to secure the cubby. You’re almost there!
Step 6
– If your PlayStation 5 is lounging horizontally, go ahead and lay it down on its face with the charging port looking up at you.
– Now, give that stand a gentle lift straight up to set it free.
Step 7
– Give a little lift to the corner of the faceplate sporting the PlayStation logo, gently coaxing it to release itself from the rest of the case.
Step 8
– As you gently lift the corner, glide the faceplate down towards the bottom of your device.
– Now, go ahead and take off the left faceplate.
Step 9
– Turn the device over so the USB and ethernet ports are chilling on your left.
– Gently lift the corner of the faceplate to pop it off the case.
Step 10
– Gently lift up the corner and slide that faceplate down towards the bottom of your device like you’re unveiling a surprise!
– Now, go ahead and remove the right faceplate with confidence.
