Whenever you can, grab a couple of picks to keep that back cover from snapping shut on you!
– Carefully slide an iFixit opening pick into the back cover near the SIM tray and give it a gentle nudge to pop it open.
– Once you’ve got a little gap, keep that pick moving along the edge and gently pry apart the clips that are holding everything snug.
Step 3
If necessary, gently pop the button off from the bottom of your device. Remember, you’re in control here!
– Grab your trusty hair dryer and set it to low heat. Warm up that fingerprint sensor in 30-second bursts to help loosen up the adhesive that’s keeping it snug.
– Once it’s feeling cozy, gently nudge the fingerprint sensor until it pops off the back cover. You’re almost there!
Step 4
– Grab your trusty Phillips #000 screwdriver and unscrew those three 3 mm screws holding the shield in place.
– Gently lift the shield off the phone and set it aside like a pro.

– Grab your trusty spudger and gently pry off the ribbon cable that’s keeping the fingerprint sensor connected. Easy peasy!
– Now, go ahead and lift that fingerprint sensor out of the device like a pro!
