How to Replace Samsung Galaxy S One Battery DIY Guide
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps
Heads up! Make sure you’ve got all your tools ready and your workspace clean before diving into the repair. A tidy space is a happy space!
Step 1
You can totally nail the next four steps without using a plastic opening tool, but hey, why risk the snaps? Using one might just be your best bet to keep those clips happy and intact!
– Wedge a plastic opening tool or your trusty fingernail into the top notch of the gap between the rear case and the phone body. It’s like tickling the top of your device to get it to open up!
– With a gentle twist of your opening tool, coax the clips that hold the top of the rear case into letting go. Think of it as convincing them to take a little nap.
Step 2
– Glide your plastic opening tool to the left along the top edge, and give it another twist to crank up the space between the rear case and the phone.
Step 3
– Keep cruising with your plastic opening tool around the top left corner’s edge, gently lifting the rear case as you go. You’re doing great!
Step 4
– Start your prying adventure on the top right corner of the rear case, and wiggle your way down the right side. Let’s pop that case open with style!
Step 5
You might have to give the case a little shimmy and shake to unclip it from the remaining fasteners at the bottom of the phone. Keep going, you’re doing great!
– Hoist the rear case off your phone like you’re lifting a treasure chest lid!
Step 6
– No need for fancy tools here! Just use your fingertip to get started on this step.
– Slip a plastic opening tool into that tiny notch right above the battery and get ready to rock.
– Give that battery a gentle pry and lift it right out of its cozy spot.
