As time goes by, your speaker might take a hit, and the sound quality could start to sound a bit off. But don’t worry! Swapping out the speaker can bring back that crisp audio you love. This guide will walk you through the steps to replace both the headphone jack and the speakers with ease.
Step 1
– Wedge the plastic opening tool between the display’s front and the back cover’s rim of your device.
– Slide the plastic opening tool downward until the tablet starts to separate from the back cover.
Step 2
Gently work your way around the edges, applying even pressure to detach the screen from the back of the device. Patience is key here—take your time to avoid any damage!
If this is your first time removing the back cover, it might put up a bit of a fight. It’s normal, so don’t worry! Just keep at it, and you’ll get there.
– Gently slide that trusty plastic opening tool around the edge of your device, and with a little finesse, start prying apart the screen and back cover. You’ve got this!
Step 4
– Let’s start by removing the two 2 mm Phillips #000 screws that hold the headphone jack in place. Take a deep breath, grab the right tools, and you’ll be rocking this repair in no time!
Step 5
– Time to get started! Begin by carefully disconnecting the blue connector from the motherboard. You can do this by gently prying it off with a plastic opening tool. Easy does it!
Step 6
– Grab that trusty metal spudger and start prying from the top left corner of the headphone jack and lower speaker assembly—easy does it!
– Carefully lift the headphone jack and lower speaker assembly out of the device. Smooth moves!

– Find the top speaker—it’s right there at the top!
– Grab a plastic opening tool and gently pop off that green-gold upper speaker connector from the motherboard.
