HP 10 2101 Microphone Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 6 Steps
The microphone is securely attached to the motherboard through soldering, so some soldering skills are handy here! To get to that microphone, you’ll need to remove the back panel first. Let’s dive in!
Step 1
– Locate the SD card port.
Step 2
Keep that opening tool on a short leash! Don’t let it wander too deep or it might bump into the metal parts inside the port.
– Gently slide the tiniest plastic opening tool into the SD card port. Give it a little nudge to pop the back panel loose from the screen panel. Easy does it!
Step 3
– Gently slide that trusty opening tool along the groove where the back panel meets the screen panel, carefully prying them apart as you glide around the edges.
Step 4
– Let’s get started by carefully separating the back panel from the rest of the device. Take your time and make sure it’s completely detached before moving on to the next step.
Step 5
– Carefully detach the microphone wires from the motherboard with precision.
Step 6
– Take a moment to gently disconnect the microphone from the rest of the device.
