This step guides you to access the speaker, just in case it needs a swap. Keep going, and if things get tricky, remember you can always schedule a repair for extra help.

Step 1

– Gently lift the rear cover off the back of your phone. You’ve got this!

– Slide a finger under the tiny lip on the left side of the battery to get a good grip.

Step 2

– Gently lay the phone face down on a flat surface, screen side down.

– Carefully lift the edge and slide the battery out of the phone, giving it a friendly nudge.

Step 3

– Grab your T5 screwdriver and take out the four black 3.5mm screws on the back of your phone.

Step 4

– Wedge the flat end of your spudger into the gap between the midframe and the screen.

– Glide the spudger all the way around the edge where the frame meets the display.

– Gently pry the midframe away from the rest of the display using the spudger for a little extra oomph.

– Once it starts to pop free, pull the midframe off and set it aside.
