Step 1
If your screen is sporting a crack, grab some tape to shield your eyes from those pesky glass shards and give yourself a better grip for opening up your phone. Safety first, and let’s get this repair party started!
– First, power down your phone and pop out that SIM card tray like a pro!
– Next up, grab your trusty screwdriver and unscrew those two Pentalobe P2 screws hanging out at the bottom, right next to the USB C port.

– Grab an iSclack or a trusty suction handle to gently pry the phone assembly away from the rear panel. You’ve got this!

– Gently pry away the fingerprint sensor using a spudger. You’ve got this!

– Let’s get those seven Phillips #00 screws on the motherboard loosened up, shall we?
– Time to unplug that antenna cable – it’s just a little shy.
– The metal plate hiding the battery connector has two tiny hooks on each side. Use a tweezer to give them a gentle nudge and unhinge the plate towards the top like a pro!

– Unplug the volume button cable and the display cable to keep things smooth and tidy…

– … along with the battery connector and the cable that connects to the daughter board.
Step 7
– Now it’s time to gently lift the motherboard out of the way to reach that earpiece speaker.
– Just a heads up, the earpiece speaker is stuck in place with an adhesive foam gasket.
