iPhone 13 No Power Easy Solution

Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 6 Steps

Step 1

- When you boot up, watch the current spike up to 1.9 AMPs and then it just chills there.

- That means you've got a short circuit on your hands.

Step 2

- Use diode mode, placing the red probe on the ground, to track down that sneaky shorted line.

- Remember, just because you spot a capacitor that seems to be the culprit for the shorted line, it doesn't guarantee it's the real deal. Keep an open mind!

- If you find a short in one spot, it’s a sign that the short's hanging out everywhere on that line.

Step 3

- This line is pretty short and looks a lot like our 3PV0 Nand Power line that supplies power to the Nand chip in every phone.

- It's a usual suspect when it comes to shorts.

- Next up, figure out which components along this line are causing the short.

Step 4

- Hook up your DC power—watch the connector direction, especially if you're working with the 13 and its squid-like plug.

- Fire up the device and keep an eye out (or a finger!) for any suspicious heat around the NAND chip.

- Found a cap that's causing all the drama? That's your short circuit culprit.

Step 5

- Start by scraping off that pesky black coating from the shorted cap.

- Give it a little check – it should definitely be showing low resistance to ground.

- The best way to safely remove this cap is with the iPad Rehab Short Killer – just pop that cap off like a champ!

- Finally, check the line to confirm that the short is gone for good.

Step 6

- Ready to put everything back together? Just work your way through these steps in reverse, and your device will be up and running again before you know it. If you get stuck or want a pro to handle it, you can always schedule a repair.
