Jot® Plastic 8-Digit Pocket Calculator Teardown
Duration: 45 minutes

How Everything Works -LSI Think of the LSI as the calculator’s brain—it handles all the math magic. -Keyboard Membrane The keyboard membrane acts like a gatekeeper, stopping energy from the power circuit and sending signals to the LSI when you press a key. -Lithium Battery The lithium battery keeps the calculator running by powering the circuit, so you don’t have to worry about it shutting off in the middle of your calculations. -The resistor The resistor acts as a speed bump for the circuit, slowing things down just enough to help the battery last longer.
