Lenovo IdeaCentre K410 Heat Sink Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 5 Steps
Step 1
– Gently lay your computer on its side, just like shown in the picture.
– Carefully take out the two 14mm screws displayed. They’re loose enough that you can just unscrew them with your hands!
Step 2
– Carefully slide the side panel straight back and lift it off the computer.
Step 3
Take it easy on those screws—keep a steady hand and don’t overdo it, or you might end up with a slip-up!
– Grab that trusty Phillips #00 Precision screwdriver and remove the four 12mm screws holding the fan down. You’ve got this—nice and easy!
Step 4
– Time to set that fan free! Gently pull out the plug from the motherboard, then carefully lift the fan up and out of the computer. You got this!
Step 5
The screws stay attached to the heat sink instead of popping out—no worries, they’re designed to stay put!
– To get your device back together, just reverse these steps like a pro. If it feels too tricky, no stress—schedule a repair and we’ll handle it for you.
