Step 1
– Begin at any point along the seam of the case and gently work the metal spudger in to pry it open. Take your time as you carefully go around the edges until the case pops apart. Slow and steady wins the race.

Step 2
The battery is linked to the motherboard by the slim wire you see right here.
– Lift the yellow tape up gently to reveal the connector underneath.
Step 3
– Carefully lift the connector straight up from the motherboard—easy does it, no need to rush.
Step 4
You’ll find some trusty double-sided tape holding things together inside the case.
– Grab your trusty spudger tool and gently wiggle it to ease the adhesive loose from that double-sided tape bond.
– Carefully lift and separate the battery from the case. Take your time—you’ve got this!

Step 5
‘Start with the plastic tools first, they’re your friends here! Metal tools might seem tempting, but they can be a little too rough on the motherboard. Go easy, and save the metal tools for later!’
– Grab a plastic opening tool or a pair of tweezers to carefully peel off any tape. It’s a simple step, but it’ll help you get a clean start!
– Now, gently lift the clip holding the electrical connectors in place and unplug them. Take your time—this part’s a bit delicate!
Step 6
Keep an eye on those teeny-tiny screws – they’re easy to misplace! Luckily, the magnetic strip at the top of the motherboard (that’s the speaker, by the way) is a great spot to stash them while you work. Just remember to pick them up when you’re done!
– Grab your Phillips #00 screwdriver and unscrew the three 2.0mm screws—just a quick twist for each and you’re all set!

Step 7
These wires are connected to parts that need a gentle lift from their spots at the bottom of the case—grab your tweezers and go slow!
On each side of the case, you’ll find a couple of twisted wire pairs hanging out. They’re just waiting for you to give them some attention!
– Time to get those twisted pairs out of there! Use a plastic opening tool or some trusty tweezers to carefully release them from the retaining tabs that are holding on tight.

Step 8
Alright, you’ve tackled the twisted pairs, but there’s still one little strip waiting for you. It’s snugly positioned on the side of the motherboard and is the one that handles the magic for your volume and power. Let’s get it out of there!
– Carefully give the motherboard a little nudge by lifting it up from the right side. You can easily peel off the last strip by gently pulling it away from the case.
– Totally detach the motherboard from the back panel.
Step 9
You’ll find the camera lens hanging out in the top left corner of the back panel, just chilling and ready for action!
– To get your device up and running again, just work your way back through these steps in reverse – easy peasy!
