Step 1
– Gently push the battery release switches away from each other to free the battery. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 2
– Pop out that battery and set it aside for safekeeping.
Step 3
– Peel off the two stickers at the bottom corners of the screen to expose those sneaky screws waiting underneath.
– Grab your trusty Phillips #00 screwdriver and remove the two 1mm screws hiding beneath the stickers.
Step 4
– Carefully slide your finger under the plastic edge and gently pry it open to release the clips holding the display bezel in place.
Step 5
– Break out your Phillips #00 screwdriver and take out the six 1.3mm screws hanging out around the display.
Step 6
– Start by peeling off that plastic covering, then go ahead and unscrew the six 1.3mm Phillips #00 screws from both sides of the display. It’s easier than it sounds—just take it slow and steady.
Step 7
– Peel back the orange tape to reveal the display connector—no need to be shy, just lift it gently.
– Carefully disconnect the display’s ribbon cable by flipping up the latch and then swinging it over 180 degrees to free it.
