Lenovo Y50-70 Touch Heat Sink Replacement

The heat sink whisks away extra heat from the CPU and channels it to the fan and cooling system, keeping those delicate CPU bits safe and sound.

Step 1

– Using your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver, unscrew all twelve 6 mm screws holding the laptop’s back cover in place—get ready to free that stubborn panel!

Step 2

– Pop off the laptop’s back cover—it should slide off like butter. No sweat, you’ve got this!

Step 3

– Grab your trusty Phillips #1 screwdriver and take out all six 7mm screws holding the heat sink in place. You’ve got this!

Step 4

– Pop off that heat sink with confidence!

– Make a mental note of the gray thermal paste hanging out on the back of the heat sink—it’s important stuff.
