Step 1
– First things first—make sure your laptop is completely powered down before you dive in. Safety first, always!
– Grab a Phillips #00 screwdriver and get ready to put it to work! Unscrew the eleven 1/4″ screws hanging out on the back panel of your laptop. Take your time—they’re not going anywhere.

– Carefully pop off the back cover—it’s easier than it sounds, promise!
Step 3
Once the screw is out, the solid-state drive will pop up like it’s saying, ‘Hey, I’m ready!’
– Swing over to the top right corner of your laptop and spot the solid-state drive chilling out next to the fan.
– Grab your trusty Phillips #00 screwdriver and unscrew the lone 3/16” screw hanging out in the top left corner of the solid-state drive.

– To pop out the solid state drive, slide it away from the battery and shimmy it toward the hinges. Smooth moves get the job done!
