Step 5

– Gently slide the camera cable out of its socket, just like a dance move! Keep it horizontal and you’re good to go.

Step 6

– Gently guide the camera data cable out of its cozy spot in the optical drive channel.

Step 7

– Let’s get started by unscrewing those pesky screws that are holding the camera data cable and the right speaker snugly in place on the upper case.

– Now, gently slide the camera cable bracket out from its cozy spot under the subwoofer and take it out of the computer.

Step 8

– Take hold of that nifty plastic pull tab attached to the display data cable lock and give it a gentle twist toward the DC-in side of your computer.

– Now, with a steady hand, pull the display data cable connector straight out from its socket.

Step 9

– First up, let’s tackle those two screws that are holding the display data cable bracket snugly to the upper case. Grab your trusty screwdriver and get to it!

– Now that those screws are out of the way, gently lift the display data cable bracket out of the upper case. You’re doing great!

Step 10

– Grab your trusty Torx driver and let’s get those outer 6.5 mm screws out of the way! You’ll need to tackle two screws on each of the two display brackets, making it four screws in total. You’ve got this!

Step 11

– Alright, let’s get that MacBook open! Position it so the display stands tall and proud, perpendicular to the upper case.

– Now, gently place your MacBook on a table just like in the picture. It’s like a cozy little spot for your device!

– With your left hand holding the display and upper case together, grab your trusty Torx driver and remove that pesky 6.5 mm screw from the lower display bracket. You’ve got this!

Step 12

– Time to bid farewell to that last little 6 mm Torx screw holding the display snugly in the upper case. Let’s get it out of there!

Step 13

– With your right hand, lift the upper case and give it a little twist towards the top of the display. This will help the upper display bracket slide past the edge of the upper case without any fuss.

– Now, gently tilt the display away from the upper case. Easy peasy!

Step 14

– Gently lift the display away from the upper case, keeping an eye out for any sneaky brackets or cables that might try to tag along.

Step 15

– Take hold of the clutch cover as shown and gently slide it over to the right side of the display. You’ve got this!

Step 16

– With a gentle touch, sway the clutch cover back and forth along its long axis while carefully pulling it away from the display.

– Keep this groove going along the length of the clutch cover until you can easily lift it away from the framework that’s keeping it snug against the display.

Step 17

– Take off the clutch cover from the display.
