Step 1
– Unscrew those 10 little screws holding down the lower case of your MacBook Pro 13″ Unibody. You’ve got this!
Step 2
– Gently lift the lower case and slide it toward the back of the computer to release those sneaky mounting tabs.
Step 3
Just a friendly reminder: to keep things safe and sound, it’s a great idea to unplug the battery connector from the logic board. This little step helps prevent any unexpected electrical surprises!
– Gently slide the flat end of a spudger under the battery connector and lift it out of its cozy little socket on the logic board. You’ve got this!

In the second and third pictures, you’ll spot the fan socket and the fan connector. Just a friendly heads-up: be gentle when using your spudger to lift the fan connector straight up from its socket—nobody wants to break that plastic fan socket off the logic board! The layout of the logic board in the second picture might look a tad different from your device, but don’t worry, the fan socket is still the same. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
A little twist of the spudger from below the fan cable wires can help pop that connector loose. It’s like giving it a gentle nudge to say, ‘Hey, time to come apart!’
