Step 5

– Gently slide the camera cable out of its socket, moving it horizontally like you’re giving it a little nudge. You’ve got this!

Step 6

– Gently guide the camera data cable out of its cozy spot in the optical drive channel. Remember, patience is key!

Step 7

– Let’s get started by taking out the screws that are holding the camera data cable and the right speaker snugly in place on the upper case:

– Now, gently slide that camera cable bracket out from under the subwoofer and give it a little lift to remove it from the computer.

Step 8

– Grab that handy plastic pull tab attached to the display data cable lock and give it a gentle twist towards the DC-in side of your device.

– Now, with a steady hand, pull the display data cable connector straight out from its socket.

Step 9

– Let’s kick things off by unscrewing those two screws that are holding the display data cable bracket in place on the upper case. You’ve got this!

– Now, gently lift that display data cable bracket out of the upper case. Easy peasy!

Step 10

– Grab your trusty Torx driver and let’s get those two outer 6.5 mm screws loose! You’ll find them holding each of the two display brackets snugly to the upper case—four screws in total. Let’s do this!

Step 11

– First things first, open that MacBook wide so the display stands nice and tall against the upper case.

– Next, gently set your opened MacBook down on a table, just like in the picture.

– Now, with your left hand holding the display and upper case together, grab your Torx driver and go ahead and take out that last 6.5 mm screw from the lower display bracket.

Step 12

– Time to say goodbye to that last stubborn 6 mm Torx screw holding the display to the upper case. Let’s get it out of there!

Step 13

– Take hold of the upper case with your right hand and give it a gentle twist toward the top of the display. This will help the upper display bracket glide past the edge of the upper case.

– Now, nudge the display a little away from the upper case.

Step 14

– Gently raise the display, steering clear of any brackets or cables that might get snagged along the way. You’ve got this!

Step 15

– Take hold of the clutch cover and gently slide it to the right side of the display, just like a smooth dance move!

Step 16

– Carefully wiggle the clutch cover back and forth along its long axis while gently pulling it away from the display.

– Keep this motion going along the length of the clutch cover until you can easily lift it off the framework that’s holding it to the display.

Step 17

– Go ahead and take off the clutch cover from the display.

Step 18

– Take out the lone 5.2 mm T6 Torx screw that’s holding the left clutch hinge close to the display glass. You’ve got this!

Step 19

– Take out those last two 5.2 mm T6 Torx screws that are holding the left clutch hinge snugly to the display. You’re almost there!

Step 20

– Time to get handy! Start by gently taking off the left clutch hinge from the display.
