Time to give your MacBook Pro 13″ Unibody Mid 2010 a little upgrade! When it first hit the scene, it was capped at 8 GB of RAM. But guess what? If you’re rocking OS X 10.7.5 (or newer), have the latest EFI update, and the right memory modules, you can boost that baby up to a whopping 16 GB of RAM. Get ready for a smoother experience! — Source

Step 1

– Unscrew and remove the 10 screws that are holding the lower case of your MacBook Pro 13″ Unibody in place. You’ve got this!

Step 2

– Gently raise the lower case and slide it back towards the rear of your device to release those sneaky mounting tabs.

Step 3

– Gently use the flat end of a spudger to nudge the battery connector up and out of its cozy little home on the logic board. You’ve got this!

Step 4

– Gently press the tabs on either side of the chip, nudging them away from the RAM at the same time. It’s a little dance move that helps free up your RAM!

Step 5

– Once the RAM chip has popped up, simply give it a gentle tug and pull it straight out of its socket.
