MacBook Pro 15″ Unibody Mid 2009 Right Fan Replacement

Swapping out a faulty fan is a breeze and will ensure your laptop stays chill.

Step 1

– Time to get your screwdriver ready! Let’s tackle those ten screws that are holding the lower case snugly to the upper case. You’ve got this!

Step 2

– With a little teamwork from both hands, gently lift the lower case by the vent to release it from the two clips holding it snugly to the upper case.

– Carefully remove the lower case and place it to the side, giving it a well-deserved break.

Step 3

– Grab your trusty spudger and gently nudge that fan connector straight up off the logic board. You’ve got this!

Step 4

– Unscrew those three T6 Torx screws that are keeping the right fan cozy with the logic board and upper case. Let’s give that fan some room to breathe!

Step 5

– Gently lift the right fan out of the upper case, like you’re giving it a little hug as it says goodbye to its cozy home.
