Step 6

– Grab your soldering iron and carefully disconnect the wire linking the GPS to the main board at the connector. Easy does it—precision is key here!

– When it’s time to desolder the GPS wire, set your soldering iron to a comfy mid-range heat, about 350°C (662°F). Keep those steady hands, and don’t let the iron linger on the board too long—you want to avoid any accidental damage. Need more tips? Check out a reliable soldering guide for extra pointers!

Step 7

– To put it all back together, just work your way backward through the steps. Make sure every connection is nice and secure, screws are all tightened evenly, and watch out for any pinched ribbon cables. Once you’ve wrapped it up, power on the watch and take it outside to check if the GPS is working right. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 8

– Once you’ve put everything back together, go ahead and power up your watch! Step outside to a nice open space and give that GPS a whirl. Hang tight while the watch locks onto a signal—this is your way of giving a thumbs up to the successful replacement!

Success!
