Got a broken Charging Dock or Microphone Module on your Nokia Lumia 720? Don’t worry, it’s a pretty straightforward fix! Just follow these steps to take apart your device and swap out the parts like a pro. No need to panic – we’ve got your back. Step 1

– Pop out the SIM card tray and the microSD card tray to get them out of the way.

– Grab a Torx T2 screwdriver and carefully remove the screw located beneath the SIM card tray.

– Gently pry open the back cover using plastic tools, starting from the top edge, and work your way around until it’s separated.

– Grab your trusty Torx T4 screwdriver and take out the 3 screws. They’re just waiting to be removed!

– Next up, let’s deal with the buzzer or loudspeaker. Give it the attention it deserves.

Step 4

– First up, let’s disconnect that battery flex cable! Easy peasy.

– Now, gently peel away the metal foil that’s stuck to the logic board. Go slow and steady!

– Grab a plastic tool with a thin tip and carefully unstick the battery from the middle frame. You’re doing great!

– Battery details: BP-4GWA, 2000mAh, 3.7V, 7.4Vh. Keep this in mind for when it’s time to swap it out!

Step 5

– Unplug the antenna cable from both the Logic board and the Charging Dock board, and then gently remove it. It’s just a quick disconnect, and you’re one step closer to getting your device back in action!

Step 6

– Gently disconnect the flex cable for the Volume, Power, and camera buttons—easy does it! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

– Remove the four Torx T4 screws holding things down. Keep track of them—they’re tiny but mighty!

– Carefully lift the board just enough to get a good grip. No rush, take your time!

Step 7

– Remove display cable.

– Remove charging dock cable.

– Take out main board.

– Warm up that flex cable using a hair dryer—gentle heat makes it easier to work with. Carefully peel the flex cable away from the middle frame, taking your time to avoid any tears. When handling the Micro USB connector, gently disconnect it with precision. Don’t forget the microphone—it’s a small but important part.
