Steps: 7 Steps
If your keypad buttons are playing hard to get or acting a bit quirky, it might be a sign that the keypad has seen better days. No worries! This guide will walk you through checking out the keypad and, if needed, swapping it out for a fresh one. Let’s get your device back in action!
Step 2
– Remove the screws from the top of the antenna.
Step 4
– Pop out those four 3 mm screws from the battery compartment—easy peasy!
– Locate the release buttons on the sides of the phone, give them a good press, and gently work the back plate off. You’ve got this!
Step 5
– Give those release tabs on the sides of the back casing a little press to set things in motion.
– Carefully coax the motherboard free and lift it out like a pro.
Step 6
– Let’s get started! Carefully remove the gray keypad from your phone by gently peeling it back.
Step 7
– First, gently remove the black keypad from the phone casing. It should come off without too much effort, but don’t rush it!
– Next, give the keypad a nice clean and inspect it carefully for any signs of wear or damage. If it’s showing some love and wear, it’s time to replace it with a fresh one!
Success!
