Replace Samsung Galaxy R Camera: Step-by-Step Guide
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 6 Steps
Let’s get that rear camera up and running. If you’re an avid phone photographer who loves sharing moments with friends and family on social media, a working camera is a must. To access the rear camera, you’ll need to lift the motherboard first. It’s attached with a clip that you can release with your fingers or a tool, and then you can carefully pull it out. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
– Slide your fingernail or a trusty plastic tool into the little gap near the headphone jack at the top of your phone.
– Carefully wiggle and pry the rear case away from the midframe, then lift it off like a pro!
Step 3
– Alrighty then, it’s time to put on your under-0 engineer gloves and grab that neon orange Phillips head screwdriver! Get ready to unscrew 7 whopping 4.0mm screws and say ‘see ya later’ to the rear case. Once that’s done, let’s grab our fingers or an opening tool and gently give a high-five to separate the midframe and your phone. Let’s take on this repair together! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair!
Step 4
– Let’s get this show on the road! Start by sliding an opening tool underneath the bottom panel near the bottom left side of the back of the phone.
– Now, gently pry the part of the motherboard that’s pointed out in the picture to the left, from underneath the part of the phone it’s latched under.
– You’re doing great! Lift that bottom panel off the back of the phone. Keep going, you’re almost there!
Step 5
– Grab those tweezers and give the vibrator a gentle but firm tug, pulling it away from the top panel to break that stubborn glue seal.
– Slide an opening tool underneath the top panel on the top left corner of the back of your phone, like you’re sneaking a peek!
– Now, carefully lift that panel off from the back of the phone with some finesse.
