– If your Mac’s battery can be popped out, skip this step and jump to step 2.
– Hit the Apple menu and shut it down.
– Once it’s off, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the keyboard and the power button together. Keep holding them for 10 seconds. If you’ve got a MacBook Pro with Touch ID, the Touch ID button is your power button too.
– Let go of all the keys. Hit the power button again to turn your Mac back on.
Step 2
– Turn off your Mac.
– Take out the battery.

Step 3
After you reset PRAM/NVRAM, just a quick heads-up: settings like disk caches, volume, time, and your keyboard and mouse preferences will hit the reset button too. No biggie, just giving you a friendly nudge to keep that in mind!
– First things first, let’s give your computer a little break! Go ahead and power it down.
– Now, time to bring it back to life! Hit that Power button like a champ.
– Before you see that lovely grey screen, press and hold those Command + Option + P + R keys all at once. You’ve got this!
– Keep holding those keys until you hear the sweet sound of your MacBook restarting. That’s the magic sound!
– Alright, once you hear that, it’s time to let go of the keys. You’re doing great!
