Samsung Galaxy A20e Vibration Module Replacement Guide

Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps

If your phone’s vibrations are feeling a bit too weak or just not there at all, don’t fret! You’ve got every reason to give your device a little TLC instead of splurging on a new one for such a minor hiccup. This guide is perfect for those ready to swap out the vibration module on a Samsung Galaxy A20e. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 1

– First things first, power down your device completely before getting started.

– Next, grab your SIM eject tool and pop it into the little hole on the side of your phone to eject the SIM card tray. Set everything aside for now.

Step 2

– Grab your trusty pick and gently slide it between the back cover of your phone and the screen.

– Pro Tip: Starting near the SIM card slot or one of the phone’s corners makes for an easier entry!

– Carefully glide the pick tool along the screen to release the entire back cover from your phone.

– Heads up: The fingerprint sensor might be clinging to the back cover. Make sure to gently pull on the sensor while keeping its connection ribbon intact!

Step 3

– Gently slide the spudger beneath the sensor’s connector and give it a little nudge to disconnect the module. You’ve got this!

– Once you’re done, stash the sensor somewhere safe until your device is all fixed up!

Step 4

– With your trusty Phillips screwdriver, pop out the 6 screws holding those plastic covers in place.

– Gently lift the plastic covers using a spudger to remove them.

– Keep those covers safe, just like you would with the fingerprint sensor! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.

Step 5

– Grab your trusty nylon spudger, and gently lift and disconnect those ribbon cables for the battery, screen, and charging connector.

– Doing this step reduces any chance of a short circuit while you’re working.

– Now, do the same for the ribbon cables connected to the buttons (power and volume), front camera, GSM interconnect cables (white), and WiFi/Bluetooth cables (blue).

– The front camera is fully detached, so store it safely to keep it intact.

Step 6

– Carefully lift the part away from the device. Once free, set it down safely.

Step 7

– Grab your trusty flathead screwdriver—your spudger’s just too big for this delicate task! Gently lift and liberate the vibrator module from your device.

– Now, peel that protective adhesive off your shiny new module. Pop it right into the spot where the old one lived—right at the bottom of your phone.
