Ready to give your Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 a little makeover? This guide is your go-to for replacing that back cover! Just a heads-up: when you pop open the Galaxy A3, you might mess with its waterproof seal. Don’t worry, your phone will still work like a champ, but it might lose its water-shielding powers. If you find yourself in a sticky situation, grab a dropper or syringe and gently inject some isopropyl alcohol (97% or higher) around the edges of the back cover to loosen that adhesive. And remember, when it’s time to put it all back together, you’ll need some replacement adhesive to keep that back cover snug as a bug. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
Woohoo! The adhesive on your Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is super strong! If you’re having a tough time getting it open with the iOpener, no worries! You can use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate to help you out. Just make sure to keep an eye on the heat—overheating can be a bummer for the AMOLED display and the internal battery. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
– First things first, make sure to turn off your phone before diving in. Safety first, right?
– Grab your trusty iOpener and let’s get to work on that sticky adhesive under the back cover! Keep it on there for at least two minutes. If it feels a bit stubborn, don’t hesitate to give it another go or two during the back cover removal.

Step 2
– Grab a small suction handle and gently pull it at the bottom end of your Galaxy A3 to create a little gap.
– Take your trusty opening pick and slide the tip to the bottom left corner to slice through that adhesive.
– Keep the opening pick in the bottom left corner so the adhesive doesn’t get any funny ideas and reseal itself.
– Now, grab a fresh opening pick and start cutting the adhesive towards the bottom left side of your phone.

Step 3
Give that iOpener another round if the adhesive is feeling tough! Remember, during this process, the back cover is under constant tension, so keep it cool – if the adhesive isn’t loose enough, it could break. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
– Grab your trusty opening pick and gently slice through the adhesive all around your phone. Don’t forget to leave one pick in each corner to keep that adhesive from playing tricks on you!
– Once you’ve snipped the adhesive, slide an opening pick into the right side of the phone. Give it a little twist until you’ve got a solid grip on the back cover. You’ve got this!

Step 4
– Let’s get this party started by gently popping off that back cover of your phone.
– Before we get sticky with the new adhesive, make sure to clean up the old adhesive from both the back cover and the frame. A little isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth will do the trick nicely!
