Step 1

– First things first, make sure to power off your phone before diving into the exciting world of disassembly!

– Grab your trusty iOpener and use it to gently loosen the adhesive under the back cover. Let it work its magic for a good two minutes. Feel free to give it another go a couple of times if you need to, because removing that back cover can be a bit of a dance!

– Grab a small suction handle and pop it at the bottom end of your Galaxy A3 to get things started!

– Slide an opening pick into the gap and gently glide it to the bottom left corner to slice through that adhesive.

– Keep the opening pick snugly in the bottom left corner to stop the adhesive from playing tricks and resealing.

– Now, grab a fresh opening pick and start cutting the adhesive towards the bottom left side of your phone. You’re on the right track!

Step 3

– Grab your trusty opening pick and carefully slice through the adhesive all around the phone. Don’t forget to leave one pick in each corner to keep the adhesive from sticking back together.

– Once you’ve cut the adhesive, slide an opening pick into the right side of the phone. Twist it gently until you have a solid grip on that back cover!

Step 4

– First things first, pop that back cover off the phone!

– Now, before you get all adhesive happy, make sure to clear away any leftover sticky stuff from both the back cover and the frame. Give those spots a nice clean with some isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. You’re doing great!

Step 5

– Let’s get those five Phillips #00 screws out of the way so we can free the motherboard covers! You’ve got this!

Step 6

– Grab a trusty pair of tweezers and gently lift off the top section of the motherboard cover. You’ve got this!
