If your phone’s touch screen, digitizer, or LCD display has taken a dive for the worse, fear not! This guide is your new best friend for disassembling your phone and swapping out the Display Assembly without the frame. Step 1
– LCD Display + Touch Screen (Display Assembly) for Samsung Galaxy S III mini / i8190.
– Power down your device, pop out the battery, and yank out any SIM or memory cards.
Step 2
– Unscrew the 10 Phillips screws—you got this!
– Grab a plastic tool and pop off the Middle frame. You’re doing great!
Step 3
Carefully detach the Earpiece and Main camera from the display frame—watch those flex cables, they’re delicate like spaghetti on a first date!
– Unplug:
– Give the motherboard a gentle nudge upwards from the right side.
– Peek underneath the board and you’ll find the LCD Display flex cable. Go ahead and disconnect it.
Step 4
– Front camera
– Main / Rear camera
– Earpiece
– Loudspeaker
– Vibro motor
– Micro SD Card reader
Step 6
– Heat up that touchscreen with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive. It’s like giving your device a mini spa day!
– Pop into the front camera hole to start lifting the glass at the corner. It’s like unlocking a little door!
– Glide through with your plastic tools from top to bottom to keep separating. You’re on a roll!
Step 7
Carefully tease apart the menu buttons flex cable from the touchscreen. It’s like they’re on a first date, and you’re the chaperone!
Step 9
Keep an eye on those menu buttons and watch out for the camera and light sensor holes. Make sure not to cover them!
– Let’s spruce up that frame! Clear off all that old tape gunk and pop on some shiny new tape.
Step 11
