Heads up! Make sure you’ve got your tools ready and your workspace clear. Let’s make this repair a smooth ride!
Struggling with spotty reception? It might be time to swap out your antenna. If tinkering isn’t your thing, perhaps it’s time to treat yourself to a new phone!
Step 1
– Spot the sneaky little slit at the bottom edge of your gadget, right where the back meets the front.
– Time to pop the back case off! Just wiggle your finger into that slit and gently pull the case away from the phone like you’re opening a bag of chips.
Step 2
– Give that battery a little nudge! Push the bottom edge up and away from the phone to set it free.
Step 3
– Pop out that SIM card by pressing down and sliding it away from its snug little home, then gently coax it out towards the bottom edge of your phone.
Step 4
– Unscrew the seven 4.5 mm Phillips #00 screws around your phone like a pro. Let’s keep it cool and collected as we dive into this fabulous fix!
Step 5
Heads up! The power and volume buttons might just leap out when you remove the midframe. Keep an eye on those sneaky little escape artists!
– Kick things off near the power button and use a plastic opening tool to pop open those sneaky plastic clips holding the midframe. Let’s get cracking!
Step 6
– Gently nudge that SD card out of its cozy slot!
Step 7
– Grab your tweezers and show that antenna who’s boss! Start at the lower end, then charm your way to the upper end.
