Potential water damage may compromise your device’s watertight seal. Still, keep crushers up and not worry too much. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Get ready to tackle the task of removing the rear glass of your Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus! Just a heads-up: opening this beauty means you’ll be messing with its waterproof seals. If you skip replacing those adhesive seals, your phone will still work like a charm, but it might lose its water resistance – and nobody wants that! So, when you’re putting it all back together, make sure to grab some replacement adhesive to keep everything snug and secure. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
The adhesive on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is super strong. If the iOpener isn’t doing the trick, feel free to use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate. Just remember, we don’t want to turn your phone into a hot mess—both the AMOLED display and internal battery can be a bit sensitive to heat. So, keep it cozy, not toasty!
– Power down your phone and give it a little break!
– Grab your iOpener and let’s work some magic on that adhesive holding the rear glass. Give it a solid two-minute spa session. It might just love the attention so much that you’ll want to repeat this step a couple of times while you’re gently coaxing that back cover off!

Got a cracked rear glass? No worries! If the suction cup won’t stick, try lifting it with some strong tape or superglue the suction cup in place and let it set. Once it’s ready, you’re good to go! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
– Hey there! Let’s put some bubbly enthusiasm into this fix. First, grab a snazzy suction cup from your toolbox and stick it onto the back cover. Not your usual boring cup, but a cool, handy dandy one for the job! Then, gently lift the back cover’s bottom edge like you’re opening a secret door. Eureka! You’ve found the gap. Now, whip out that trusty opening pick and slide it to the bottom right corner, just like a pro! And remember, if you’re feeling a tad stuck, no worries! We’re all about that ‘you got this!’ vibe. – Pop in a third opening pick at the phone’s bottom end. Keep it there during the rear glass removal to stop that adhesive from getting all clingy again.
Step 5
– Let’s kick things off by smoothly gliding the opening pick from the lower left corner along the side of the S9 Plus.
– Once you’ve sliced through half of the adhesive on the left side, just park that opening pick right where it’s at.
– Gently slide the opening pick from the lower right corner halfway up the frame, and just let it chill there.
Step 6
Hold up! Don’t fling open your phone just yet. The fingerprint reader’s flex cable is still hooked to the motherboard.
– Grab a fourth pick and slide it up the right side to the top right corner.
– Take a fifth pick and slide it along the left side to the top left corner.
– Use the pick to slice through the remaining adhesive under the upper part of the rear glass.
Step 7
– Gently lift the rear glass on the side where the volume button is.
