Samsung Galaxy Speaker Replacement Guide
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 7 Steps
Your phone’s speaker is the life of the party, bringing all your tunes and videos to life with crystal-clear sound. But just like a rockstar, it can get worn out after a while. If your speaker’s starting to sound like a broken record – static, muffled, or just plain weak – it might be time to give it a fresh start! This step-by-step guide will show you how to swap out that speaker and get your device booming again. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
– Get a good grip on your phone! Hold it steady with one hand on the back and the other on the front. Now, gently pop off that back cover. You got this!
Step 2
– Now that the rear cover is off, use a small plastic spudger to carefully lift the battery out of the phone. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 3
– After removing the battery, it’s time to get to the good stuff. Use a screwdriver with a J00 Phillips head screw bit to unscrew the five 1.2mm Phillips screws on the back of the phone. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 4
Be gentle when handling the press-fit connector that links your screen to the motherboard – we want to keep everything intact and working smoothly. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
– After you’ve successfully taken out the screws, flip that phone over with confidence! Grab your trusty plastic opening tool and gently unclip the connector that’s keeping the screen connected to the motherboard. You’ve got this!
Step 5
– Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the screen away from the plastic casing. Start on one side and work your way around the phone – it’s like opening a tricky package, but you got this! If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Step 6
– Grab your trusty 1.2mm Phillips screwdriver and unscrew that little guy holding the motherboard in place. Once that’s done, use your thumbs to gently pop the innards of the phone out. And remember, stick with that same J00 Phillips head bit you used earlier!
Step 7
– Grab a plastic tool and gently nudge one side of the speaker on the motherboard. With a little lift, it should pop right off since it’s not held in place by anything. Easy peasy!
