Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 AT&T Screen Replacement
Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 5 Steps
A cracked screen can make it tough to see what’s happening on your tablet. To tackle this, you might need a heat gun or an iOpener to help with removing the screen. For handy tips on using the iOpener, check out the guide linked. If you need help, you can always schedule a repair.
Step 1
Keep the heat gun moving—don’t park it in one spot for more than two seconds, or you’ll risk melting the plastic around your screen.
No heat gun? No problem! Grab a hair dryer or an iOpener instead. For extra tips, check out the iOpener guide.
Step 2
– Start by placing the suction cup on the bottom or top right corner of your device.
– While keeping the suction applied, take the plastic opening tool and gently work it around the screen at various points to help it pop out.
Step 3
Carefully open the tablet, and remember to avoid yanking the pieces apart! We don’t want to accidentally mess up that delicate orange ribbon cable.
– Now that the screen is free, open the tablet like you’re flipping through a good book. Go ahead, gently open it and take a peek inside!
Step 4
– Grab those precision tweezers and gently peel away the silver tape that’s keeping the orange ribbon cable snug between the two parts. You’re almost there!
Step 5
– Grab your precision tweezers and gently lift out the tiny press-fit connector from the side of the tablet. Take your time—patience makes perfect. If you need help along the way, you can always schedule a repair.
