Duration: 45 minutes
Steps: 4 Steps
Time to bring your DPTA-RS1 stylus back to life by swapping out that dead li-ion battery. Let’s do this without leaving a scratch on its sleek exterior. Follow the steps carefully and you’ll have it working like new in no time. If you get stuck, no worries—just schedule a repair and we’ll take care of the rest.
Step 1
Avoid using clamps or pliers to hold the tip. It could end up damaging the delicate capacitive coil underneath. Keep it gentle!
– This tip is stuck on pretty well, so give it a good wiggle and some gentle muscle to break the glue loose.
Step 2
– The internal parts are now secured by the plastic buttons. Time to remove them so we can move on!
– Grab your prying tool and gently pop off the buttons. The middle pivot is a great spot to start.
Step 3
– With the buttons out of the way, slide everything inside toward the tip. Now you’re all set to swap out that battery.
Step 4
– Time to put your gadget back together! Just retrace your steps and follow these instructions in reverse. You’ve got this!
– If you need help, you can always schedule a repair
Success!
