Swap out the cable that links the upper case, power button, trackpad, sleep sensor, bluetooth board, and keyboard to the logic board. It’s like giving your device a little hug to help it connect better!
Step 2
– Unscrew the trio of identical Phillips screws securing the memory door. Let’s make this memory upgrade happen!

– Gently lift up the memory door just enough to get a good grip on it, then slide it toward yourself and pull it away from the casing like you’re opening a treasure chest.

– Unscrew the two cheeky 2.8 mm Phillips screws chilling in the battery compartment near the latch.

– Alright, let’s unscrew some magic. You’ll be removing the following 6 screws:

– Unscrew the four 3.2 mm Phillips screws chilling on the port side of your computer. Let’s get those little troublemakers out!
Step 7
– Twist that computer 90 degrees and whip out those two 3.2 mm Phillips screws from the back. It’s like a little tech dance!

– Twist your computer 90 degrees once more and whip out those four 3.2 mm Phillips screws from the computer’s side. Keep on rocking that screwdriver!
Step 9
Hold your horses! Don’t just rip off the upper case like it’s a band-aid. There’s a sneaky ribbon cable connecting it to the logic board. Let’s keep it chill and careful, alright?
– Start by lifting the rear of the case and wiggle your fingers along the sides to loosen it. As you work your way around, you might need to gently rock the case back and forth to detach the front. Keep an eye out for some sneaky hidden plastic clips that need to be unclicked.

– Unhook the trackpad and keyboard ribbon cable from the logic board, peeling off any tape that gets in the way.
– Lift off the upper case with flair.

– Grab your spudger and with a flick of the wrist, pop open those snazzy black plastic flaps that are keeping the keyboard and backlight ribbon cables snug as a bug!
